This spot is about a 20-minute drive from where I’m currently editing Ride the Divide. To the left of this shot is Mt. Baker. It’s a great place to escape for awhile after you’ve been lost in Final Cut Pro for days.

I was in Nashville this past week for a meeting and learned about Hatch Show Print. I’ve seen this style of poster for years, but never knew they originated from the City of Music.

My twin sister is an incredible artist. She did the paintings we set to motion in 10 MPH. I love this part of one of her paintings. It feels like breakfast.

Shiner is celebrating its 100 year anniversary, but Lone Star Brewing Company has been around 25 years longer. Lone Star’s slogan reminds me of something I was surprised to learn recently. At one time in the 1800’s, Texas was actually a sovereign nation, known as The Republic of Texas. It’s territory included parts of Colorado.

If you like Tex Mex, you ought to know Matt Martinez Jr. He, his father, and family helped define the tastes. I snapped this shot at one of the family-owned restaurants in Austin today. He passed a couple days ago.
